Suillus tomentosus
Another lovely looking Suillus. Suillus tomentosus is distinguished from other members of this genus by its fibrillose-scaly surface of the cap covered with long soft matted hairs. This cap is orange-yellow to a reddish brown with a stalk containing glandular dots. The flesh and pores are yellow and turn a bluish green when handled. Common in Alberta growing under two needle pines especially lodgepole pine.
