Inocybe sororia
The best time to ID this Inocybe is at the young growth stage shown in the photo. If you crush the cap between your fingers it will smell strongly of green corn. When Inocybe sororia matures it will look almost identical to Inocybe rimosa which has a spermatic odor. Hopefully, some mature specimens will be present with the young one for comparison. Quite often I find the mature Inocybe's odors, especially when dry, may be hard to determine. Common across Alberta in a wide variety of wooded habitats.
