Mycena leptocephala

Mycena leptocephala is only one of many Mycena that inhabit the forest floor decomposing needles,leaves, wood and duff in general. Most Mycena sp. require microscopic examination for positive ID. Mycena leptocephala grows under conifers and has a strong bleach like odor when crushed.
